Q. How quickly can you find me a Glisten Cleaner?
A. We are usually able to allocate a Glisten Cleaner for you within a few days!
Q. How do you vet your Glisten Cleaners?
A. Very carefully! All our Glisten Cleaning staff are interviewed in their own homes, so that we can assess for ourselves their standard of cleanliness. We verify all applicants ID and right to work documents, and conduct an in-depth interview and, most importantly, we decide whether this is a person who we would let clean our own home!
Q. Are your Glisten Cleaners reference checked?
A. Yes they are. We take up references for all our staff and those references have to be excellent before we would allow them on to our database of approved cleaners.
Q. What if I’m not happy with my Glisten Cleaner for any reason?
A. Simply let us know of your concerns and we will do all we can to remedy the situation as quickly as possible, including finding you an alternative cleaner.
Q. Do you have a minimum number of hours?
A. The minimum number of hours weekly is two.
Q. Do you have insurance cover?
A. All our businesses are insured for up to a minimum of £2 million pounds. Please note, in order to keep our charges at a very competitive rate, there is an excess of £100 on all claims for which you would be responsible for. The insurance cover is offered in the event of any major incidents of damage.
Q. Do I meet my Glisten Cleaner before the first clean?
A. Yes, once we allocate your Glisten Cleaner, an informal meeting will be arranged at your home so you can have the opportunity to meet them and discuss your expectations for your Glisten Clean and agree your regular cleaning schedule.
Q. Will I get the same Glisten Cleaner every week?
A. Yes. You will be allocated your own dedicated Glisten Cleaner so you will have the peace of mind of knowing who is coming into your home each week. You and your Glisten Cleaner will be able to work out a routine with you as to what you would like doing on each visit.
Q. What if my Glisten Cleaner can’t make it, or is sick?
A. Just give us a call and if you and your regular Glisten Cleaner cannot agree an alternative time that suits you, then we will do our very best to provide you with another Glisten Cleaner.
Q. What sort of tasks do Glisten Cleaners normally carry out?
A. By having your own dedicated Glisten Cleaner you will be able to specify which jobs are done on a weekly basis and which jobs are done on a rotational basis. This way you will receive a service that is tailored to your specific needs (and you can leave the jobs you really hate to them!). As a general guide, your Glisten Cleaner will be happy to do all the usual domestic tasks, such as vacuuming, dusting and polishing and will clean the bathrooms and kitchen. Subject to a quick health and safety risk assessment, they may also clean windows if required (internal only) and most other general household cleaning, such as laundry and ironing, changing beds etc. within your home at your request. If you have any specific requests, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you!
Q. Do I have to be at home when my Glisten Cleaner cleans?
A. No, our Glisten Cleaners are thoroughly vetted and are happy to hold your house keys to let themselves in and lock up when they are finished. We will provide you with a Key Acknowledgement Form for your Glisten Cleaner to sign. If, however, you would prefer to be at home, then that is not a problem at all.
Q. Do I have to supply cleaning materials?
A. Yes, as this way, you can dictate the products that you prefer to be used. We require that you do not ask our Glisten Cleaners to use any “home made” cleaning products and that all bottles and sprays only contain what is specified on the label! Also to prevent cross contamination, we don’t use our own cloths, vacuums or mops, and you will be required to provide these.
Q. Do you have insurance cover?
A. Yes, including £1,000,000 public liability insurance. In line with all other insurance policies, there is a £100 excess with all claims.
Q. What areas do you cover?
A. We cover all of Lanarkshire and Glasgow.
